Steven is originally from Hanover, Pa. He grew up deeply entrenched in the musical traditions of the Roman Catholic Church. He grew up singing in the choir at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Hanover, Pa, one of the oldest Catholic Churches in the country.
He began keyboard and voice studies in high school. Steven holds Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Millersville University which is located near Lancaster, PA. While at Millersville he studied both voice and organ.
He completed his studies in 2011. He served as the Director of Music at St. Ignatius Loyola Parish in Ortanna, PA form 2011 – 2012. He relocated to Illinois with his wife Alyssa in 2012. There he was an active substitute organist. He accepted the position of cantor at St. George Anglican Church in Macomb, IL in 2014. In 2015 Steven and his wife relocated to the Pittsburgh Area. Steven was briefly employed by Shadyside Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh as a member of the chancel choir.
Not long after moving to the area, he accepted the Position of Director of Music at St. John and St. Wendelin Parishes. He continues to serve as the Director of Music at St. John in Fenelton. Steven currently resides in Chicora with his wife Alyssa and their two children- Violet 2 and Alastaire 1. They also have a dog- Bella, and a cat- Fritz.
